Several times a year at Abernethy Center we hold an event called our Chef's Preview. This event is an opportunity for our brides and grooms who have weddings scheduled for that year to come experience a party in our ballroom. They are able to sample a large selection of our menu options, as well as taste our wine, champagne, speciality soda selections, and even our chocolate fountain. Guests also have the opportunity to chat with several of our prefered vendors, regarding their wedding needs.
The invitations for our January tasting were designed by The Wedding Cottage. Our ballroom was set with taupe linens, silver plate chargers, and Chiavari chairs, to create an elegant feel with a neutral color palette. The flowers were done by Forte Floral Artistry. Jennifer created different colored arrangements for each tables, so guests could see various options. Alesia with Alesia Zorn Calligraphy and More designed all of our table numbers.
Attendees of our Chef's Preview's definitely do not leave hungry. Our culinary team, which includes our Executive Chef Robert Stuart, our Executive Sous Chef Barry Losch, and our Assistant Chef Osvaldo Hernandez present numerous hors d'oeuvres, accompaniments, and entrees to sample. We also have a full bar with wine tasting, as well as samples of speciality cocktails and speciality sodas.
Of course the evening would not be complete without dessert! After a champagne and cider toast, the chocolate fountain is opened and cake is passed.
