Abernethy Center is dedicated to keeping our couples and guests safe. Below are more details in how we are safely hosting weddings during these unprecedented times.
What are we doing to ensure physical distancing?
All clients are required to have a seating chart at their wedding with guests sitting in associated parties with at least a 6-foot distance between tables. This way you are not seated with anyone whom you have not already associated with and have plenty of space to keep your 6 feet distance. Staff members who will be dropping off food, pulling plates, or bringing beverages to the tables will briefly be within the 6-foot distance, however, they will be wearing masks and only one server will be assigned to come to your table throughout the event.
How is dinner serviced?
Dinner will be served either plated or served buffet style.
Is there dancing?
Dancing is absolutely allowed! We just ask that guests keep their distance from those they are not associated with. Masks are required for group dancing.
Are masks required?
In our indoor venues (Chapel and Ballroom) masks are required when guests are not actively eating or drinking. In our outdoor venues (Abigail’s Garden and Veiled Garden), masks are not required but highly encouraged. Masks are required in all restrooms and while dancing.
Will there be hand sanitizer?
Absolutely! We have numerous hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue for your use!
In the Ballroom, is there an outdoor space or any chance of ventilation?
Our Ballroom has an HVAC system, so air is not stagnant. Our Ballroom also has a patio for outdoor use.
