WEDDING WISDOM: A First Look Or A First Touch?

Whether or not you’re planning a first look, we’re big proponents of connecting with your beloved before the festivities get underway, and we want you to know that it doesn’t require seeing each other!  If you’re not interested in a first look, perhaps consider a first touch?

I’ve seen more couples doing this recently and it melts my heart every time! You and your love meet back-to-back, or on opposite sides of a door holding hands. So you can feel them, if not see them – NO PEEKING! And share a few private moments before seeing each other for the first time during the ceremony. You can read each other love letters, your wedding vows, or share a casual word and joke.  It’s an opportunity to take each other in and calm your nerves before the ceremony.  As an added bonus, it makes for an incredibly sweet photo op!!!

PRO TIP:  Once the ceremony begins everything flies by, so incorporating a meaningful way to connect before the celebration is something you’ll cherish!  Just be sure to give your photographer and wedding party a heads-up, before the big day, so they can help you coordinate.
